In the previous guide we covered the skills the Thunderous Protector build for Sorcerers will use in their primary skill bar. Today we’ll discuss the skills that will go on the secondary skill bar. These will be mostly for healing and supporting your party. After all, it can get costly to rely on Elder Scrolls Online items.

Ranged skills to complement Elder Scrolls Online Weapons

Your Thunderous Protector’s secondary bar is used with a Restoration Staff. This is because tanks often play the role of a backup healer. The skills for healing however are discussed later, for now we look at Inner Fire (Inner Rage). With this ability, your Sorcerer can taunt targets from a far. Your allies can also activate the ability’s Synergy to deal damage to the target and those near it.

Your other ranged skill in this bar is Mage’s Fury (Endless Fury). With a heavy Elder Scrolls Online armor you can literally be a tank with this skill, firing bolts of lightning at the enemy. The morph is taken for the magicka restored if you kill an enemy using this ability.

Maintaining your Elder Scrolls Online Armor

As a tank, you’ll need to have access to your primary skill bar often for your main Elder Scrolls Online weapons. The way skills are set however means there is a possibility that slotted effects will go away when you swap bars. For this reason Bound Armor (Bound Armaments) is slotted into the secondary bar. In a similar vein, Lightning Storm (Boundless Storm) is also used with the secondary bar. While this skill doesn’t have effects that toggle off, it is needed to give your Thunderous Protector access to buffs all the time.

Supporting wielders of Elder Scrolls Online Weapons

As discussed earlier, a Restoration staff is used to complete your heave Elder Scrolls Online armor wearing Sorcerer. This is to allow it to heal party members. Grand Healing (Healing Springs) is another method to restore health to your character and its allies. Additionally, the morph allows your character to regain magicka the more allies it heals.

For the ultimate on this bar, your Sorcerer will need Negate Magic (Supression Field).  This will stun enemies and dispel any debuffs on your allies. The morph will also lessen the damage received by your allies and improve their spell penetration. Note however that in PvP this ultimate will only silence enemy players.
