Using your Elder Scrolls Online Weapons
For this Elder Scrolls Online build, players will need to wield a sword and shield as their primary weapon. With this in hand, your Undaunted Guardian will use Puncture (Ransack) as its primary taunting skill. Note that this ability’s morph is chosen for the armor increase it gives. After all, your character will be tanking. Just be careful managing your stamina when using this skill however.
When it comes to offense, Puncturing Strikes (Puncturing Sweep) will be your pick. Not only does it deal damage to multiple targets at once, it will also keep your character alive thanks to the self-heal.
Augmenting your Elder Scrolls Online Armor
As tank, your Undaunted Guardian will need to shrug off damage. This is why you will be taking Sun Shield (Blazing Shield). Not only will this reduce damage done to your character, it can be used offensively to take out hard hitting enemies. Of course, for maximum effect, use this only when there are a lot of enemies or against powerful mobs.
One of the reasons this build for a tank uses a sword and shield is to gain access to Defensive Posture (Absorb Magic). This allows it to reflect spells back as well as making blocking cheaper. The extra heal provided by the morph is just icing on the cake.
Health and Elder Scrolls Online Weapons
Tanks often aren’t simple damage absorbers. They often also act as backup healers in a pinch. This is why the Undaunted Guardian has Restoring Aura (Radiant Aura) slotted. This helps the regeneration of health and stamina not just for your character but also for the party.
For the Ultimate, take Rite of Passage (Practiced Incantation). As mentioned above, this is used when the party is in dire need of healing. The major drawback is, your tank won’t be able to do anything while channeling this spell.
