Today we continue our guide on the Howling Temple build for the Templar. This DPS build is useful when you want Elder Scrolls Online items, weapons and Elder Scrolls Online armor from dungeons and delves. In today’s guide we cover the secondary skill bar.

Using Elder Scrolls Online Weapons against far off targets

Even if your target has thick Elder Scrolls Online armor, a good application of Snipe (Lethal Arrow) can easily send them to their death. Not only does this skill deal direct poison damage, it also applies a poison effect on the target. The morph also makes healing on the target less effective, making it easier to kill.

If your target is a spellcaster, then consider using Poison Arrow (Venom Arrow) instead. Similar to the skill above, it will deal poison damage to the target. It will also deal poison damage over time. What makes it useful against casters however is that it will interrupt spells. Additionally, it will put the caster off balance and stun them.

Using Elder Scrolls Online Weapons to keep enemies away

The advantage of using a bow is that you do not have to deal with enemies close up. If they are melee, then your Elder Scrolls Online armor won’t take damage as they won’t be able to attack you. For this reason, Arrow Spray (Acid Spray) is incredibly useful. Aside from the direct and over time poison damage it deals, it also slows down enemies. Best of all, this ability fires in a cone in front of your Howling Temple Templar and can hit multiple targets.

If your enemies do get too close, Bone Shield (Spiked Bone Shield) can help you or your allies mitigate damage. Once activated, you will have a shield of bones that absorbs damage while returning damage to melee attackers. Your allies can also activate the Bone Wall synergy that give them a damage shield of their own.

When Elder Scrolls Online Weapons cannot save you

Healer won’t be always there to help you when your Elder Scrolls Online armor isn’t enough. This is why this build slots Restoring Aura (Repentance). Just being on the bar increases resource regeneration. Activating it will give health and stamina regen to your allies too, but will require nearby corpses.

If your healer is busy and you or an ally is in dire need of healing then Rite of Passage (Practiced Incantation) is your savior. This has your character channel and heal those nearby. Best of all, your Templar becomes immune to crowd control while this is active.
