Doling out damage is important if you are hunting Elder Scrolls Online items and Elder Scrolls Online armor from high level dungeons. This player submitted build for the Templar class guarantees that your group has such a damage dealer in the Howling Temple. As strange as the name is, your enemies will be howling in pain as this build cuts through them easily.

Using Elder Scrolls Online Weapons against groups

The Howling Temple is a stamina based DPS build using the Templar, heavy Elder Scrolls Online armor, a two-handed greatsword and a bow. For today’s guide we will focus on the skill to put on the primary bar. To start, the build uses Cleave(Brawler) as damage dealer and mitigator in one. Aside from dealing damage to enemies in front of your character, it will also get a shield for each enemy hit.

The next skill on the bar is Puncturing Strikes(Biting Jabs). With the morph, this multi-target damage dealer relies on stamina instead of magicka. It will also knockback an enemy on its last hit  aside from dealing additional damage.

Bringing your Elder Scrolls Online Weapons to bear

As a DPS your character will need to be able to push out a lot of damage. This is where Momentum (Rally) comes in handy. It increases your weapon damage for a considerable length of time. Additionally, it will heal the Howling Temple over time making them last longer in battle.

To further increase your DPS, Reverse Slash (Executioner) is taken. Just putting this on the skill bar increases the damage of your two-handed weapon against enemies with low health. The skill itself will cleave through nearby enemies despite their Elder Scrolls Online armor.

Charging with your Elder Scrolls Online Weapons

Unlike a tank who needs to more or less stay in place, DPS have to go where the action is. With Critical Charge (Critical Rush) this is not only easier, but also lethal to opponents. Using the skill will cause your Templar to move and slam into the target dealing physical damage.

After getting close to your opponents, use Dawnbreaker (Flawless Dawnbreaker) if you wish. This deals magic damage to those in front of you plus some damage over time. Note that this skill deals more damage against undead and Daedra and will increase weapon damage while slotted.
