Dragonknights in Elder Scrolls Online make for excellent tanks. They can also play the role of damage dealer however with their Ardent Flame skill line. One of our previous guides showed ESO account holders how to turn your Dragonknight into one. For this guide however, we will cover the active skills that will help your Elder Scrolls Online gold hunter.
Burning enemies for ESO gold
The Ardent Flame skill line focuses on dealing damage, particularly of the burning sort. One of the early skills Dragonknights can learn is Searing Strike. This ability has no cast time and will deal fire damage over time to a target. It will also deal direct fire damage to the target upon hitting. Elder Scrolls Online account holders can morph this skill into Unstable Flame to increase damage the longer the spell lasts. Morphing it into Burning Embers makes it heal the caster for a percentage of the damage inflicted. Good if you are saving restorative Elder Scrolls Online items.
Fiery crowd control with your ESO gold hunter
The first skill TESO account holders will learn in the skill line is Fiery Grip. This ability will pull a target to you and deal some fire damage to it. Players with weak melee Elder Scrolls Online weapons and even weaker Elder Scrolls Online armor dread this ability. When morphed into Empowered Chains it will make your next weapon attack deal more damage. If you want to use this to pull in soft targets, consider Extended Chain as a morph. The latter will improve the range and damage of this skill.
AoE fire attacks with your ESO gold hunter
The third ability in the Ardent Flame skill line is Fiery Breath. Like the previous skills, this is cast instantly. Upon use it will torch a cone area in front of the ESO gold hunter and deal some fire damage. Targets caught in the AoE will be ignited and be dealt fire damage over a small period of time. Morphing this skill into Burning Breath will reduce enemy armor on top of dealing damage. Meanwhile, turning it into Engulfing Flames will cause the target to take more damage from fire attacks.
