Crafting in Elder Scrolls Online isn’t as complicated as you think, even though there are a lot of parts to it that sometimes confuse the players. Fret no more! This article walk you through the basics of crafting for different weapons and armor. Read more below.
Elder Scrolls Online Weapons Crafting: Overview
One of the most fun features in any RPG game – or MMO for that matter – is crafting. No MMO would be complete without it. In ESO, the crafting system is very streamlined, which is very convenient for any type of player since it enables them to jump right into it. If you want to start crafting, go to a town first and find its crafting area. Every town has one! Once there, you will be able to find stations that you can interact with. Different stations will allow you to craft different items; for example, the Blacksmithing station will enable you to craft heavy Elder Scrolls online armor, whereas the Clothing station will enable you to craft light ones. Approach these stations to bring up the crafting menu. Simply select what you want to craft and then what extra pieces you wish to add to the item. Just make sure you have the necessary ingredients to create your Elder Scrolls Online weapons.
Elder Scrolls Online Weapons Crafting: Ingredients
You can obtain ingredients by, first, killing enemies and obtaining their drops as loot. Items can also be gathered on the field from flowers, ore nodes and other places. They can also be obtained by extracting them from items you have. Extraction is the process in which you can dismantle items you have for to get crafting materials out of them. The items you get back are dependent on the item you dismantled.
Elder Scrolls Online Weapons Crafting: Crafting Skills
Everyone has the same basic skills in all crafting categories. This will allow players to make the most basic of Elder Scrolls items, and nothing beyond their level, at least. If a player wishes to become more proficient in one skill, they will need to level up the skill first. This can be done by crafting multiple items in order for you to gain a little experience each time you do this. Extraction will also gain you experience in small points, or big ones depending on the item quality. Once the skill is a high enough level you will be able to put a skill point into it, allowing you to access new tiers of crafting.
Elder Scrolls Online Weapons Crafting: Research
The research tab is one of the most interesting. It allows you to learn enchantments from items, so that you can apply them to your own crafted items in the future. The process is slow, taking many real time hours to complete, but once you learn an enhancement, it’s your forever. The catch is that it can only be applied to the same item you learned it from, so if you learn it from an axe, it can only be placed on other axes. The different tiers of crafting are:
- ALCHEMY
- BLACKSMITHING
- CLOTHING
- ENCHANTING
- PROVISIONING
- WOODWORKING
