Storming the Keep for Elder Scrolls Online Weapons Collectors

In the previous article, we covered the basics of expanding your Alliance and taking down the walls. Once the inner wall is down, your Alliance must storm the keep and take the two flags inside. The flags will convert to your Alliance if enough allies stand on the flag at the same time and remain alive for about 20 seconds as the flag changes. Note that there are two flags inside the keep. Both flags will be heavily guarded by NPCs and players!

Fighting for Flags for Elder Scrolls Online Weapons Collectors

Make sure to be well-geared with Elder Scrolls Online items before engaging in the fight, and also be aware that your mobility may be improvised since the encounter is within close quarters. There are also archers and mages on the top level, as well as on some of the stairs on either side of the flags. These long-ranged enemies will deal fire damaging arrows and fireballs while you are trying to take the flags.

Enduring Wipes for Elder Scrolls Online Weapons Collectors

It might take your Alliance around 10 minutes to take a lightly defended keep with enough decently geared players. However, it might also take several hours of troublesome work to seize a fully defended keep. Your Alliance may also be “wiped”, meaning all of your allies could be slain and it would be likely that the enemies defending the keep will launch a counter attack towards your own Alliance’s closest keep. Don’t come storming through someone else’s doors and leaving your own defenseless!

Capturing Outposts for Elder Scrolls Online Weapons Collectors

Outposts are small forts located between two keeps which can be captured by an Alliance. There are only three outposts, namely Sejanus, Nikel and Bleaker. These are near the centre of Cyrodil and separate the home keeps of each Alliance. Outposts are much easier to capture compared to keeps as they only have one wall to break through and one flag to capture inside. They are defended by several NPC guards and often enemy players as well. You can also travel to an outpost using the transitus network as long as the outpost in connected to a friendly keep. You cannot, however, use the transitus network once you arrive at an outpost. Keep in mind that traveling to an outpost is a one-way trip with the transitus network!
